Our Objective
We are a team, and believe that the development of each child should be shared responsibly between the parents and the teacher. We, therefore, encourage you, as the parent, to become involved in the education of your child. We have an open door policy and would appreciate all comments and suggestions. Your child will be cared for and taught by dedicated teachers and experienced child minders. We are proud to provide a caring, safe environment for your child, one which ensures optimal learning experiences.
345 Nursery School was started as a little play group by Sue Morrison in 1979. Over the years, 345 has grown into a vibrant learning environment that spans over two campuses (Vorna Valley and Carlswald).
Child’s Play
Welcome to every child’s cloud nine. At 345 our playground is completely fenced and well equipped with a wide range of SAFE jungle gyms and other play equipment. Sand and water will also be available for the children at playtime. The playground is supervised at all times during outside play. For safety reasons, we will not allow any children outside without supervision.
The Grounds Upon which we learn
We succeed in knowing that we are able to give your children the best environment possible. Therefore an annual levy will be charged each year in June. This will be used for the improvement of the school grounds, buildings and classrooms, which is always beneficial for all children.
The improvements benefit all the children of 345, so therefore it has been decided that in the interest of fairness, an annual amount will be levied to ensure that all contribute equally to the development of the school.
At 345 security is very important to us, which is why we only allow parents with a security disk to enter the school grounds.
We Get Dirty!
We love to work, but we also LOVE to play. So please ensure that your child comes dressed in play clothes, as they may be involved in messy play activities from time to time and it is unrealistic to expect a child to stay clean while playing.
Please label all clothes and shoes and send a small bag with a change of clothes in case of an accident. Please send along a hat and a light blanket that can be left in the locker for daily use. An apron or big old t-shirt for painting is also a good idea to protect clothes. Should your child still be in nappies, please send a fully packed nappy bag with wet wipes, disposable nappies and any creams that may be required, as well as 2-3 changes of clothes.
Lively Learning
We are BIG on sport, which means there is a large scope for extra-murals at the nursery school. These are determined by the interest shown by the parents. Come on Moms and dads, let’s get excited.
Should you require your child to participate in a particular activity, please inquire at the office. The fun loving activities that are currently being offered include pottery, swimming, ballet, karate and soccer. All payments for these activities are made out directly to the coaches/instructors and not to the Nursery School.
We include Active Bodies and music which are included in the school fees. These activities all take place in the morning, so that all kiddies can take part.
